I have found it easier to only post suggestions and result every second day.  Even though we are trying to stay at home, there seems to be a bunch of things that come up that need doing with no regard for the To Do list.   The Bottom Feeder Scan did not come up with any suggestions for the last couple of days.  That happens sometimes.  But here is the result for the April 29th Scan.

The scan and I did not do too bad.  I got 2 out of 3 right.  There was even a fairly large down day in the middle of the week.  There was no Pick for April 5th so there is no new scan to look at.

I had a call the other day about recommendations from a small investor. As you know, I like the term Micro Investor.  Basically, anyone with less than $15,000.00 to invest.  Normally that investment amount is Mutual Fund territory.  (Which I am able to provide) But this person wanted to try investing for themselves.  They reasoned that now might be a good time to buy.  I think it it is definitely a time to consider buying.

One of the keys to investing is to diversify.  Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.  So you should be spreading out your investment over a few stocks.  Here is my recommendation.  Just so you know, these are all stocks that I own, and have bought some of them in the last week.

The total is about $8500.00 plus trade fees. The first 5 are also dividend paying stocks.  XTb and HOT have suspended their dividend for now.  PYR is a very good Canadian High Tech firm that is overlooked by most investors.  A fate that is common to Canadian Tech stocks. Most of these are at 50% of their pre March values.  IF they go back to their regular levels, you would almost double your money.  $8000.00 profit is not going to change the world, but it is not a bad return on your money.
