I was talking to someone the other day and we were comparing stories about American Patriotism examples. It got me thinking. Many Canadians have a poor opinion of American Patriotism. We think that it is over done. But is it?? Or does it just look that way, because of our reserved Canadian Patriotism. I am old enough to remember when Canada got its own flag, and all the controversy over that. I distinctly remember laying on the living room carpet on a Saturday morning looking at about 60 or 70 potential flag designs in the newspaper. My dad (an immigrant) was standing over me, looking at them as well. He said something that I think was very prophetic. “It doesn’t matter which one they choose, as long as we get one.” He was right. The design did not matter, as long as we had something to identify us as a County and a People. Our flag has done exactly that. Everywhere in the world that Red Maple Leaf says CANADA.
So why are we not more supportive of Canadian Companies and Stocks. When I worked in the States I was amazed by the number of Canadians who were in the upper management of so many of the companies. The American space program was built on Canadian talent, after the demise of the Avro Arrow. So obviously, we have the smarts and the abilities. I personally invest almost exclusively in Canadian companies, and have made way more money on those than I ever did on US stocks. You know we had a Canadian Electric Car long before Tesla. (see this Post) I get so excited about Canadian companies and how inventive they are. They really make me proud to be a Canadian.
So I am going to be presenting some Canadian Companies that I have stock in that I feel are world leaders in their industries. I hope you give them some support. The first one that I am going to present is:

This is an incredible company. I first found them in March of 2018. I have bought and sold them (profitably) a couple of times. I own them today. I was drawn to them from an article about how they were going to destroy chemical weapons with no pollution for the US military. They have industry leading technology for several major industries, from atomized metal powders (3D printing), to waste management on a huge varied industry front, to converting fossil fuel heat systems to clean heat solutions. Much of their waste management generates new reusable by products, while eliminating the generation of Green House Gases.
Companies all over the world are noticing and buying their products. We as Canadians should know about this great company. We should be supporting this company by buying their stock. They are an excellent example of Canadian expertise helping to make the world a better place.
